Red, White and Blue Cold Brew
Ingredients:
- 3 cups of cold brew coffee
- 1/2 cup of fresh blueberries
- 1/2 cup of fresh raspberries
- 1/2 cup of heavy cream or half-and-half
- 2 tablespoons of sugar or sweetener of your choice
- Ice
Instructions:
1. In a blender, puree the blueberries until smooth. Strain the puree through a fine mesh strainer and discard the solids.
2. Repeat the same process with the raspberries in a separate bowl.
3. In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream and sugar over low heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and let cool completely.
4. In a glass, add ice and pour in the cold brew until the glass is about 3/4 full.
5. Add a spoonful of the blueberry puree and stir.
6. Pour in another layer of cold brew, followed by a spoonful of raspberry puree and stir again.
7. Repeat with one more layer of cold brew followed by the remaining blueberry puree.
8. Finish off with a layer of cold brew and a drizzle of the sweetened cream on top.
9. Garnish with fresh blueberries and raspberries if desired.
10. Serve and enjoy your patriotic red, white, and blue cold brew!
